Post Quantum Based Identity Signature Scheme with Lattice Assumption for VANETs
Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) enable the communication of security-critical messages between road traffic management and smart automobiles, hence improving road safety. However, there are a number of attacks, including replay and modification, that can target VANET's wireless channels. The majority of information systems in use today are vulnerable to quantum assaults using conventional encryption techniques, regardless of the advancements in quantum computing. One of the main building blocks of public-key cryptography is the signature, which is crucial to providing security services in contemporary communications. One feature of a signature technique with message recovery is that the entire message is contained in the signature, which can lead to a reduction in signature size. Considering the issues, the suggested Post quantum based identity signature scheme(PQ-ISS) system builds the underlying complexity problem of the lattice assumption using the discrete Gaussian sample algorithm and the bimodal Gaussian distribution of lattice cryptography. This assumption can assist to resist the quantum attack for information exchange among IoT devices. In the meanwhile, the identity-based signature technique for IoT devices can ensure that information signatures cannot be refuted. The suggested PQ-ISS has good efficiency and performance in VANET system, as demonstrated by the efficiency comparisons and performance assessments.
