A collaborative planning approach considering the interests of wind farms and distribution networks for energy storage configuration

To balance the interests of wind farms and distribution networks, an optimal cooperative planning method considering the interests of wind farms and distribution networks for energy storage configuration is proposed. Firstly, the benefits of both wind farms and distribution networks are considered. By analyzing factors such as wind farm power output fluctuations, curtailment penalties, and the interests of both the wind farm and distribution network, a profit model for both entities is formulated and established. Then, a multi-objective programming model is established considering the interests of wind farms and distribution networks. According to the characteristics of the model, a weighted minimum-module ideal-point method was proposed to simplify the multi-objective planning problem by avoiding the Pareto front. Finally, simulation results based on the IEEE 69 node test system demonstrate that the proposed method can improve the comprehensive benefits of wind farms and distribution networks.
