Optimizing Frame Replication and Elimination for Reliability (FRER) Protocol with Pigeon-inspired Optimization Algorithm
This paper uses a Pigeon-inspired Optimization algorithm (PIO) to optimize the traditional Frame Replication and Elimination for Reliability (FRER) protocol, and scenario-based validation is carried out in an oilfield using a digital communication tester. The uplink transmission packet loss rate and delay metrics before and after using the algorithm are tested and compared while ensuring that the RSRP and SINR are consistent. The results show that the FRER transmission after using PIO is more stable, and the uplink transmission packet loss rate and delay are better than the standard FRER transmission.
