A new preventive control strategy considering static voltage stability
The determination of preventive control strategy is dependent on its economic and safety effects. A new preventive control strategy was proposed considering static voltage stability. The critical contingency sets, which is included in preventive control, were determined according to the occurrence probability and severity of contingencies. According to each critical contingency set, a preventive control model was established. Using interior point method to solve the proposed model, the corresponding preventive control cost was obtained. After preventive control, risk assessment of static voltage stability was implemented and static voltage stability risk index was obtained. Therefore, a reasonable preventive control strategy can be determined according to static voltage stability risk index and preventive control cost. The simulation of IEEE14-bus system demonstrated the proposed method was correct and effective.
