IMPACTO PSICOSSOCIAL NA VIDA DAS MULHERES QUE FORAM SUBMETIDAS À HISTERECTOMIA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Hysterectomy is the second most performed surgical procedure in women of childbearing age, the highest rate of women undergoing the hysterectomy procedure is between 40 and 49 years old and, because this age group is sexually active, there is a great impact on the sexual life of this population, in addition to changes in the emotional, psychic and anatomical aspects of women. With this, our objective was to present what are the main psychological impacts after the removal of the female organ. The methodology is an integrative review, which consists of the methodological approach of literature reviews, which aimed to gather information to group according to the theme addressed. The results and discussion were data made with inclusion criteria, articles that were available in Portuguese and English, documents available in full and dated in the last 10 years. To carry out the selection of articles, each article was read tirelessly to confirm whether they met the guiding question of this investigation and whether they met the exclusion and inclusion criteria. The result was composed of 12 articles, of which 91.7% were of international origin. It is concluded that hysterectomy shakes the woman not only by an invasive surgical intervention, but by a procedure of belief in the loss of femininity as a result of the removal of the uterus. It became clear that hysterectomy does not usually change a woman's ability to feel sexual pleasure. However, treatment by chemo-radiotherapy has more harm to the sexual function of women affected by Cervical Cancer.
