Welcome to AI Matters 10(3)

Welcome to the third issue of this year's AI Matters Newsletter. The issue will start with a report by Dr. Louise A. Dennis summarizing recent conference events. We then welcome the article titled "AI-Oracle Machines for Intelligent Computing" by Dr. Jie Wang from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In this article, Dr. Wang will introduce the concept of "AI-oracle machines" and present to us some of its applications. Finally, in our last article, Dr. Rakesh M. Verma from the University of Houston and Dr. Nachum Dershowitz from the Tel Aviv University will share their recent experience with the reviewing system in the age of large language models (LLMs). Their experiments showed the challenge of detecting machine-generated paper reviews, calling for more actions from the research community to address or minimize the involved ethical concerns.
