Kontruksi Citra Vokalis Musik Underground Dalam Media Instagram

Abstract. This research aims to analyse the image construction of Bring Me The Horizon vocalist, Oliver Sykes, in the Instagram media account @thehorizonid. The method used is a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm used to gain an in-depth understanding of how Oliver Sykes' image is constructed and presented through the social media account @thehorizonid Instagram account. In addition, to examine the factors involved in the image construction process, the researcher explores it with the Framing analysis theory of William A. Gamson and Andre Modigliani's Framing analysis theory is used to explore the ways in which posted content is accommodated and presented. Through observation of posts, captions, and interactions with followers. The results of this study found that Oliver Sykes who is also a vocalist from the band Bring Me The Horizon, he is known not only as a metal musician who is usually identified as someone who is scary and lives loudly or full of emotions, but he also shows a more personal, relaxed, cheerful and reflective side of himself through uploads on the @thehorizonid Instagram account. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontruksi citra vokalis Bring Me The Horizon, Oliver Sykes, dalam media Instagram akun @thehorizonid. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis digunakan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang bagaimana citra Oliver Sykes dibangun dan dipresentasikan melalui akun media sosial akun instagram @thehorizonid. Selain itu, untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang terlibat dalam proses kontruksi citranya, peneliti mendalaminya dengan teori analisis Framing William A. Gamson dan Andre Modigliani digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi cara-cara dimana konten yang diposting diakomodasi dan disajikan. Melalui pengamatan terhadap postingan, caption, dan interaksi dengan pengikut. Hasil penelitian ini di ketahu bahwa Oliver Sykes yang juga seseorang vokalis dari band Bring Me The Horizon, dia dikenal bukan hanya sebagai musisi metal yang biasa di identikkan sebagai seseorang yang menyeramkan dan hidup dengan keras atau penuh emosi, namun dia juga menampilkan sisi dirinya yang lebih personal, santai, ceria dan penuh refleksi lewat unggahan-unggahan di akun instagram @thehorizonid.
