Makna Keterbukaan dalam Berkomunikasi pada Perempuan Korban Kekerasan (R)

Abstract. Violence is a phenomenon that is rife in the community or social environment. Basically, this physical violence is a problem that continues to increase in every case, especially in female gender-based violence. This researcher aims to find out the motive for the meaning of openness in communicating to women who are victims of physical violence, patterns and forms of violent behavior experienced by women while involved with relationships. This researcher used a qualitative approach to phenomenology with Alfred Schutz's Phenomenological Theory. The results of the research were obtained through structured in-depth interviews to four imformant women who experienced the phenomenon. The results of the study show that women's motives do not speak up in cases of violence, namely because several factors are afraid of being threatened, feeling insecure to speak up and also the motive is because of excessive affection and imbalance of positions in relationships that make women helpless. On the other hand, the reason why women survive is because they feel that their partners are very good outside of the violence. Regarding the experience of communication in the form of violence experienced by informants is verbal and physical violence. Patterns of violence can occur due to various conflicts, such as women being felt to have violated the rules of their partner, feelings of jealousy, bad thoughts or bad prejudices and stubborn partners towards what they think is right to make the party emotional and make the violence happen.
