Efektivitas Metode ‘Asyarah dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Alquran pada Kelas 10 di SMAN 1 Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat

Abstract. The high rate of Quran illiteracy among students, especially in public schools, indicates the need for effective and efficient Quran learning methods. One of the Quran learning methods is the ‘Asyarah method, which is suitable for beginners as well as those who are already proficient in reading the Quran. SMAN 1 Lembang has implemented a Quran Reading and Writing program using the ‘Asyarah method designed to improve the ability to read the Quran effectively. The purpose is to determine the implementation of the ‘Asyarah method, the ability to read the Quran of students, and the effectiveness of the ‘Asyarah method in improving the ability to read the Quran in grade 10 at SMAN 1 Lembang. This study used a quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, questionnaire, test, documentation. Data analysis techniques used Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and N-Gain test. The results indicate that the learning process of ‘Asyarah method uses the 3M principle (Explain, Exemplifying, Listen to) and the BILAS step (Read the formula, Rhythm the formula, Practice the formula, Apply the formula, Submit the surah). The ability to read the Quran of students in the pre-test results has an average of 38.37, and the post-test results has an average of 76.67. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, and the application of the 'Asyarah method was categorized as quite effective in improving the ability to read the Quran of grade 10 students at SMAN 1 Lembang. Tingginya angka buta huruf Alquran di kalangan peserta didik, khususnya di sekolah negeri, menunjukkan perlunya metode pembelajaran Alquran yang efektif dan efisien. Salah satu metode pembelajaran Alquran adalah metode ‘Asyarah, yang cocok digunakan bagi pemula maupun yang sudah mahir dalam membaca Alquran. SMAN 1 Lembang telah menerapkan program Baca Tulis Quran (BTQ) dengan metode ‘Asyarah yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran secara efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui implementasi metode ‘Asyarah, kemampuan membaca Alquran peserta didik, dan efektivitas metode ‘Asyarah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran pada kelas 10 di SMAN 1 Lembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran Alquran metode ‘Asyarah menggunakan prinsip 3M (Menerangkan, Mencontohkan, Menyimak) dan langkah BILAS (Baca rumusnya, Iramakan rumusnya, Latih rumusnya, Aplikasikan rumusnya, Setorkan ayatnya). Kemampuan membaca Alquran peserta didik pada hasil pre-test memiliki rata-rata 38,37, sedangkan pada hasil post-test memiliki rata-rata 76,67. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara nilai pre-test dan post-test, serta penerapan metode ‘Asyarah terkategori cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Alquran peserta didik kelas 10 di SMAN 1 Lembang.
