The Syntheses of Immiscible CuRuPt Ternary Solid Solutions
Abstract The syntheses of immiscible solid-solution nanoparticles especially ternary ones including 3d, 4d and 5d transition metals are very challenging. To better synthesize immiscible CuRuPt ternary solid-solution nanoparticles by polyol method, the effects of precursor types, concentrations and protectant amounts on the nucleation and growth of nanoparticles were investigated in details. By slow synthesis method, we have synthesized the immiscible CuRuPt ternary solid-solution nanoparticles with homogeneous distributions of Cu, Ru and Pt at atomic level for the first time.
