As a result of the worsening geopolitical situation and the introduction of sanctions against Russia, the food retail sector has faced many challenges, including the destruction of traditional supply chains, rising prices and a decrease in the purchasing power of citizens. In the context of increasing business costs, there is accelerated consolidation in the food retail sector, an increase in the popularity of discounters, active development of online trading and increased competition in the market. The purpose of the study is to study the problems and identify ways to improve competitiveness in the food retail sector.
