Z3DVS : A 3D visualization System for Zhurong Mars Rover Science Operations
Z3DVS (Zhurong 3D visualization system) is a specialized software developed for the scientific operations of the Zhurong Mars rover. Initiated and driven by the Tianwen-1 mission requirements, Z3DVS is designed to visualize the 3D environment surrounding the rover. This includes terrain, sky background, shadows, and a 3D model of the rover itself, aiding ground engineers in understanding the exploration site environment and selecting optimal scientific targets for payload deployment. The system also simulates the effects of the Zhurong Mars rover's scientific exploration activities. Additionally, it incorporates a time-event system, enabling visualization replay and preview of the scientific exploration process. Z3DVS has been operationally utilized by the Ground Research and Application System (GRAS) of Tianwen-1, playing a crucial role in the rover's scientific missions.
