Բարձրահարկ շենքերի կառուցման էկոլոգիական հետևանքները / Environmental consequences of building high-rise buildings

High-rise buildings can prevent proper air circulation, which leads to insufficient ventilation and inevitable changes in climate. As winds increase or decrease, unexpected weather phenomena often occur, such as heavy rain, fog, or higher atmospheric humidity. A reduction in winds or a change in direction can affect the ambient temperature of the city. Tall buildings can "trap" air and create uneven thermal zones that can hold more heat and even lead to higher energy consumption, especially in cooling. A change in wind dynamics can affect the climate, such as an increase in temperature, lack or excess of rainfall, which will negatively affect the entire economy. Because high-rise buildings change air currents, they can cause winds to increase or, conversely, reduce them, affecting the speed and direction of moving air. In cities where high-rise buildings are built, the natural movement of air is often disturbed. Winds are unable to pass freely through the urban area, cutting off their natural flow through and around buildings. Buildings create a "blocking effect", where tall buildings surrounded by concrete surfaces do not allow the natural movement of winds.
