A New Horizon in Literacy Education Open by Cognitive Semiotics

This paper has described a detailed analysis procedure of cognitive mechanisms employed in multi modal texts including texts and images on contents such as advertisements and book covers, and also presented a teaching procedure for the analysis of such multi modal texts accordingly. The above discussion has resulted in the findings below.<br/> Firstly, an objective analysis procedure in multi modal texts has been presented.<br/> Secondly, an inference process has been specified with schematic representation.<br/> Thirdly, effectiveness of critical analysis has been described by text comparison.
