Educação estatística, educação financeira e educação fiscal no estudo das apostas online

The universe of online betting has grown a lot in Brazil in recent times. To work on this topic, we developed a pedagogical activity, built within the scope of mathematical modeling, with the aim of making students aware of the problems caused by the practice of this type of betting. To this end, we created an activity involving probability in a non-equiprobable sample space, financial education, with regard to investments and risk, and tax education, addressing the importance of taxes and the destination of the resources collected. The results, analyzed according to the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) methodology, demonstrated good student engagement and awareness of the issues involved in the topic of online betting, in addition to criticality when examining the proposed situations. Likewise, we verified good performance in understanding the concept of probability involved, as well as in terms of financial education and tax education.
