Optimization of the system of sports and mass work of future officers of the National Guard of Ukraine

The development of a system of sports and mass work is one of the dominant components of the formation of physical and special physical readiness of future officers of the National Guard of Ukraine. In turn, the modernization of the mass sports system involves the introduction of new methods and technologies, namely: the use of simulators and interactive platforms for physical training; the use of personalized training programs (highly functional complexes), the organization of competitions in military-applied sports. It should be emphasized that mass sports events are an effective means of developing: teamwork in groups; developing leadership qualities; developing quick decision-making skills during teamwork, etc. According to the results of the analysis of scientific and methodological literature by members of the research group, it was found that empirical studies that comprehensively and structurally reveal the features of the organization of the system of sports and mass work of future officers of institutions of the security and defense sector of Ukraine are rare. This emphasizes the relevance and timeliness of the chosen direction of scientific exploration. As a result of the empirical study, an experimental program for organizing sports and mass work for future officers (using the example of cadets of higher military educational institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine) with an emphasis on the use of highly functional complexes of physical exercises was developed and tested. The experimental program demonstrated a high level of effectiveness in increasing the physical fitness of cadets, in particular improving their functional indicators of endurance, strength, speed, and coordination of movements. The involvement of highly functional physical exercise complexes in sports and mass work allowed to increase the overall level of physical readiness of future officers to perform professional tasks in simulated extreme conditions of service and combat activities.
