Design of RFID based flexible handling system for robotic arms in automotive automatic production lines

The level of automation in automotive production lines is increasing, and the mixed production of multiple vehicle models on the same production line has become the preferred strategy for enterprises to optimize costs. In order to improve generation efficiency, this article takes the robotic arm handling station as an example and proposes a solution for flexible handling in automated production lines. PLC technology is combined with RFID wireless radio frequency identification technology, and industrial equipment such as frequency converters, SMC valve islands, rotary encoders, and HMI are used to design a low-cost, high-performance, highly scalable, and flexible robotic arm handling workstation, providing an effective solution for large-scale production of multiple models of automobiles on the same production line.
