Improved image steganography based on the lowest effective bits
With the rapid development of technology, information security has become increasingly important. In order to make the transmission of information more secure and reliable, the traditional method is to encrypt the information, but there are certain limitations. Once the encrypted information is intercepted, the security of the ciphertext is greatly threatened, so the stealth of the ciphertext needs to be upgraded. This paper verifies the effectiveness of improving the concealment of encrypted information through three groups of experiments. First, the ciphertext is embedded in the least significant bit of a single channel, then the ciphertext is divided into blocks and embedded in the least significant bit of different channels in turn. This experiment is more secure than the first experiment. Finally, the ciphertext is scrambled and divided into blocks and hidden in multiple channels. Through the results of the three experiments, it can be seen that the embedded ciphertext carrier is almost imperceptibly different from the original carrier, achieving the safe hiding of the ciphertext. Compared with traditional encryption processing technology, steganography is more secure and reliable for hiding and protecting information.
