Modeling Designed for Regenerative Braking Energy Recovery of Pure Electric Commercial Vehicles

With the increasing emphasis on environmental issues, the development and optimization of electric vehicles have gradually attracted the attention of scholars. The reasonable matching of power parameters for pure electric vehicles is crucial for the overall performance and economic benefits of the vehicle, directly affecting its design indicators. This article develops a regenerative braking energy recovery control strategy using MATLAB/Simulink. This control strategy is integrated into the overall vehicle model, and the energy recovery effect is validated through simulations under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), with driving range and energy consumption per hundred kilometers as evaluation criteria. The results indicate that the regenerative braking control strategy effectively optimizes the vehicle's driving range and energy consumption.
