Design and Application of the UAV Charging Device in Power Transmission Line Patrol

For ensuring the safe and stable operation of power network operation, it is necessary for personnel to patrol the lines and find faults and security risks in time. The unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are gradually being used to power line inspection. Although the UAVs are highly efficient in line inspection, it cannot fly long distances due to its limited battery power. So, UAVs cannot do remote inspection. A new UAV charging device needs to be provided. The endurance of the UAV can greatly improved by this UAV charging device during the power line inspection.
