Aggregation Decision-making Method of Virtual Control Unit for Flexible Regulation Resources
In the construction of the new power system, as new energy power generation increases, traditional resources are being replaced. Taking Liaoning Province’s power system as an example, new energy installed capacity accounted for one-third in 2023. There is an urgent need to tap the ancillary service potential of distributed resources. Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) are sources of flexibility and an effective supplement. This paper focuses on the aggregation of DERs. The issues of efficiently aggregating diverse DERs and determining the aggregation entity need study. Virtual power plants (VPP) offer advantages but existing research has limitations. This paper proposes a Virtual Control Unit (VCU) architecture, constructs an aggregated risk decision-making model for PFR services using Conditional Value at Risk (CVaR), and verifies its effectiveness. The main contributions include forming a VCU to solve the problem of insufficient regulation resources, proposing a quantification model and construction method for distributed resource aggregated regulation.
