MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF F-40S ELASTOMER FILLED WITH CERAMIC NANOPARTICLES
Restoration of parts significantly reduces equipment repair costs and shortens its downtime. Polymer bearing fits allow to increase the service life of bearing units and housing parts many times after restoration; their durability can be increased by filling polymers with nanosized particles. In this work, the mechanical properties of F-40S elastomer composites filled with ceramic nanoparticles were studied, the optimal composition of the nanocomposite and the optimal mode of its heat treatment were determined. It was found that filling the elastomer with ceramic nanoparticles improves its mechanical properties. It was determined that filling the elastomer with ceramic nanoparticles increases the strength of the material to 18.0; 26.0 and 19.0 MPa with a nanoparticle content of 0.00156; 0.00311 and 0.00466, respectively. The maximum strength of nanocomposites during the studies increased up to 2.15 times, deformation of nanocomposites - up to 1.83 times, elastic modulus - up to 2.27; adhesion to the substrate - 1.4 times. It was found that the nanocomposite with a nanoparticle content of 0.00311 has the maximum values of strength, deformation and elastic modulus. With a further increase in the filler content, the indicators decrease, which is explained by the aggregation of nanoparticles. The optimal heat treatment mode was determined: temperature T = 150 0C, time t = 3 hours. In this case, the material has the highest specific work of destruction - 34.5 MJ / m3. Improvement of the mechanical properties of the elastomer after filling with ceramic nanoparticles confirms the promise of further comprehensive studies of the new material.
