WAYS TO CLEAN MOTOR FUELS FROM WATER AND BIOLOGICAL POLLUTANTS
The quality of motor fuels supplied to agricultural enterprises is not ensured to the proper degree, deviations from standard values are observed due to imperfections in storage and transportation systems of the final product. During storage, corrosion products, mechanical impurities, microorganisms accumulate in diesel fuel, water content and the content of actual resins increase. Several directions for cleaning motor fuel from water, mechanical and biological contaminants are considered. When cleaning diesel fuel from biological contaminants using biocidal additives with preliminary cleaning from watermechanical contaminants, a decrease in the growth of microorganism cells from 100 - 79 million cells / ml (in the case of a standard medium and diesel fuel) to 45 million cells / ml (in the case of a standard medium, diesel fuel and additive) is established. Natural sorption (glauconite, bentonite, zeolite) and filter materials (MFFC, Vladipor membranes) were used to purify diesel fuel from water impurities. The water content in the fuel decreased from 0.2% to 0.03% for diesel fuel and from 0.04% to 0% for heating oil when using sorbents. An experimental stand was mounted to evaluate the throughput of membrane materials, which allows pumping diesel fuel at a certain pressure. It was found that the hydrophobic membrane MFFC-3 with a minimum initial water content in fuel (0.5%) made it possible to reduce the water content in the fuel from 5 ml to 0.25 ml (by 95%). The degree of fuel purification when using the hydrophobic membrane MFFC-2 is 4 times lower, while the filtration time increased from 125 to 268 seconds. Thus, in order to clean fuel from water and biological contaminants, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive method for cleaning motor fuel from biological, mechanical and water contaminants, which will allow it to be brought to standard values.
