Implementation of anti-corruption disciplines as a factor in developing an environment of integrity

The article examines key aspects of the implementation of anti-corruption education in Ukrainian higher education institutions as an important element of the European integration process. In this context, the introduction of specialized training aimed at forming intolerance to all manifestations of corruption is of great importance. Such an approach to education not only contributes to the development of professional competencies but also forms stable ethical principles and values in future specialists. Thus, it is proven that the introduction of such disciplines performs a number of positive functions, such as forming critical thinking and ethical values in the younger generation, providing practical knowledge and tools for recognizing and counteracting corruption in the professional environment, and creating the prerequisites for the effective implementation of anti-corruption mechanisms in various spheres of public life. An example of successful implementation of anti-corruption education is the experience of creating and implementing a pilot project to minimize corruption risks in Ukrainian law schools, which included a comprehensive approach to building anti-corruption competence and developing an integrity of the academic environment. The process of implementing specialized academic disciplines aimed at forming an anti-corruption culture among students was analyzed, which began with the development of separate codes of ethical behavior and anti-corruption programs and ended with the introduction of a specialized discipline, the purpose of which is to form a comprehensive understanding of anti-corruption mechanisms and develop practical skills in their application. An important aspect of this process was the inclusion of the anti-corruption component in the standards of higher education, which provides a systematic approach to the formation of anti-corruption competence of future specialists. It is worth noting that at the international level there is no such comprehensive practice of implementing anti-corruption education as in Ukraine. Although some countries have certain educational programs on anti-corruption topics, they are mostly fragmented and not systematically integrated into the standards of higher education. This indicates that Ukraine is one of the pioneers in implementing a systematic approach to anti-corruption education at the level of higher education institutions.
