DIAGNOSTICS OF THE QUALITY OF CENTERLESS GRINDING TO CONTROL THE DESTRUCTION OF ABRASIVE TOOLS
Increasing the efficiency of centerless grinding is one of the important tasks of mechanical engineering, in particular, for the tasks solved at JSC Concern East Kazakhstan Region Almaz Antey within the framework of large-scale production of products for the defense complex. The paper establishes the possibility of diagnosing the output parameters of the grinding process based on the results of monitoring the intensity of grain destruction of the abrasive tool used. The output parameters here mean the hardness and microhardness of the part material, the roughness of the treated surface. Hardness and microhardness can vary depending on the temperature in the cutting area, which can lead to negative consequences up to a hard one. The intensity of destruction here refers to the dynamics of changes in the number of grains of an abrasive tool over different periods of its operation. Destruction is understood as the chipping of grains, the tearing of grains from a bundle, their rotation in a bundle. The work shows the most favorable grinding conditions to meet the requirements set by the drawing of the part.
