Ab Initio Study of the Electron Structure and Magnetic and Caloric Properties of FeRhPb1 – xSnx Alloys
The electron structure and magnetic and caloric properties of FeRhPb1 − xSnx (x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, or 1) alloys are calculated using the VASP and SPR–KKR packages. It is shown that FeRhPb1 – xSnx (x = 0.5, 0.75, or 1) alloys are semimetal ferromagnetics. In the mid-field approximation, the Curie temperature is estimated; for FeRhPb, FeRhPb0.5Sn0.5, and FeRhSn alloys it is 501, 478, and 449 K, respectively. It is revealed that FeRhPb1 − xSnx (x = 0.5, 0.75, or 1) alloys are promising materials for use in spintronic devices operating at room temperatures.
