The Effectiveness of Early Mobilization Program for Post Section Caesaria Patients on the Length of Stay (LOS)
Background Cesarean section is a surgical intervention for childbirth where an incision is made in the lower abdomen. The number of births via cesarean section in Indonesia has been increasing, along with the rise in patients using the National Health Insurance (JKN). Generally, the recovery process of patients after a cesarean section is influenced by several factors. Effective early mobilization can help accelerate recovery and shorten the length of stay (LOS) in the hospital without compromising the quality of care. Methods This study is a pre-experimental study with a one-group case study design. The sample was determined using purposive sampling and the minimum sample criteria is 64 patients. The analytical method was the independent t-test using SPSS version 25. Objective This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Early Maternal Mobilization Program (LIMO) for post-cesarean section patients on the LOS at Hermina Hospital Results The LOS between patients with the LIMO program and patients without the LIMO program is significantly different (p-value= 0.00). Based on this statistical analysis, it turns out that in post-SC patients with the LIMO program, the length of stay is faster than the patients without the LIMO program. It can be concluded that the LIMO program is effective in reducing the LOS duration. Conclusions This program can be used as a continuous program to control the length of stay of patients and maintain the quality of hospital services.
