ESTIMATION OF INDOOR ELECTROMAGNETIC ENVIRONMENT ON 28GHz
The equivalent complex permittivity of walls, floors, and ceilings (composite building materials) in a building was estimated by the free-space method for 28 GHz, the frequency used in 5G. The R2coefficients of 0.85〜0.93 were obtained by comparing the simulation results of the ray tracing method with the radio wave intensity in real space, and it was confirmed that the simulation results reproduce the actual situation very well. Finally, the spatial distribution of radio wave intensity in the office space was simulated, which showed that the simulation using equivalent complex permittivity is useful for designing radio wave environments in buildings.
