RECUPERAÇÃO INCOMPLETA E TARDIA DA PERDA SÚBITA DO OLFATO DECORRENTE DO COVID-19
There is an urgent need to understand the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and anosmia, one of the most notable sequelae, especially in the early variants during the 2020 pandemic, as there are cases where such a sequel resulted in partial and delayed recovery. Due to the scarcity of studies consistently correlating olfactory loss with COVID-19 and its incomplete and/or late recovery, it becomes imperative to analyze the available scientific material through systematic reviews, aiming for a more robust contribution of information. This is intended to contribute to the scientific literature and various health fields, both in the diagnosis and treatment of virus-induced loss of olfactory acuity. The work was carried out through bibliographic research, structured as an integrative review.
