Exploring the Conceptual Framework of Urban Morphology and Its Impact on Quality of Life: Insights from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Urban morphology-defined as the study of the form, structure, and layout of urban areas-provides valuable insights into how cities develop and how various spatial configurations impact the everyday experiences of residents. This article explores the relationship between urban morphology and quality of life in Jeddah, a prominent Saudi Arabian city undergoing significant change under Saudi Vision 2030. This study analyzes the key morphological features of Jeddah, considers their implications for residents? well-being, and presents policy recommendations to promote sustainable growth and enhance quality of life. By examining land-use distributions, street configurations, building types, and the social dynamics woven into the urban fabric, the research demonstrates that a greater understanding of morphological characteristics can inform strategic planning to create a more equitable, vibrant, and resilient city.
