A Rare Case of Clear Cell Cervical Adenocarcinoma in a Perimenopausal Female
Cervical cancer is the fourth-most common cancer in females. The uncommon subtype cervical clear-cell adenocarcinoma accounts for only 4%–9% mostly affecting the younger population. The major established risk factor is intrauterine exposure to diethylstilbestrol (DES) in childhood. A case of a 40-year-old female with no intrauterine exposure to DES is reported, which revealed a cervical mass replacing the lower lip of the cervix on pelvic examination and later diagnosed with clear-cell carcinoma of the cervix.
