Combat Stress: Formation Mechanisms and Targets of Directed Pharmacological Effects

The article is based on the materials of the report at the scientific session of the Department of Physiological Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the physiology and pharmacology of extreme conditions. Taking into account the results of scientific research and the experience of organizing and providing medical care in modern armed conflicts, the targets and directions of pharmacological action to correct the functional state of the body are determined. Modern methods for maintaining the combat readiness of military personnel and the effectiveness of operator activities to create functional reserves of response to emerging vital threats are presented. The possibilities of combining drugs, the interaction of which provides the ability to reduce the doses of psychoactive components, increase safety, and adherence to their use, are traced. The expediency of maintaining eubiosis and correcting disorders of the body’s microbiota, which is involved in the formation of stress-mediated reactions, is indicated.
