Race-Specific and Race-Neutral Equations for Lung Function and Asthma Diagnosis in Black Children
In this cohort study of 1533 children, the use of the race-neutral equation improved the detection of asthma in children. These results support the universal use of the race-neutral equation to improve asthma detection in children and help guide medical practice toward alleviating asthma-related health disparities.
