Blockchain Identity Authentication and RIS-Assisted Secure Communications for 6G IoT
The Internet of Things (IoT) leverages communication technology to achieve extensive data collection and transmission in 6G, providing convenient services to users. However, with the development and proliferation of IoT networks, the volume of data within communication networks has surged, posing significant challenges to data security and availability. This paper proposes a secure communication method based on blockchain identity authentication and reconfigurable intelligence surface (RIS) assistance for 6G IoT. By integrating blockchain technology, a decentralized identity authentication mechanism is established to verify the credibility of IoT nodes, effectively preventing unauthorized access. The RIS assists in securing IoT communications by enhancing the wireless channel, enabling secure data transmission between IoT devices. Additionally, a Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithm is devised to orchestrate the pairing between IoT devices and RIS efficiently and optimize the RIS phase configurations. We demonstrate that combining blockchain and RIS significantly improves the security and reliability of 6G IoT communications, laying the foundation for a safer smart environment.
