Redox-responsive peptidosomes: A promising strategy for expanding vancomycin antibiotic spectrum and efficacy against resistant bacterial infections

improvement in three out of four IPC domains, namely-IPC program (0.0 to 57.1 44.9; p = 0.015), environmental cleaning (14.2 24.3 to 92.9 19.9; p < 0.001), PPE availability (7.1 18.9 to 71.4 48.8; p = 0.035) and Waste Management (71.4 39.3 to 85.7 37.8; p = 0.569).Discussion:The training for facility IPC focal persons and facility IPC teams, supportive supervisory visits, and distribution of PPEs to these sites were effective in ensuring the implementation of the IPC program, improved environmental cleaning, and availability of PPEs in these sites. However, waste management may require incorporating interventions addressing human behavioural change to record significant improvement in this domain. Conclusion:The findings highlight, that gaps exist in IPC across health facilities.Co-design and tailoring interventions to suit those needs using a QI approach can lead to the strengthening of the health systems for infection control with high stakeholder ownership and impact.

Abstract

improvement in three out of four IPC domains, namely-IPC program (0.0 to 57.1 44.9; p = 0.015), environmental cleaning (14.2 24.3 to 92.9 19.9; p < 0.001), PPE availability (7.1 18.9 to 71.4 48.8; p = 0.035) and Waste Management (71.4 39.3 to 85.7 37.8; p = 0.569).Discussion:The training for facility IPC focal persons and facility IPC teams, supportive supervisory visits, and distribution of PPEs to these sites were effective in ensuring the implementation of the IPC program, improved environmental cleaning, and availability of PPEs in these sites.
