Pulmonary involvement in hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome
Discussion: The prevalence of LTBI among children and adolescents in St. Petersburg is much lower than global averages. However, there is a correlation between the epidemiological situation of TB in the city's districts and the prevalence of LTBI among children and adolescents living in those areas. Conclusion: According to the World Health Organization's estimation, 5-10% of individuals with LTBI may develop active TB during their lifetime.Such individuals represent a potential reservoir of tuberculosis.Further study of the prevalence of LTBI among the population, particularly in high-risk groups among the adult population of St. Petersburg, will help to improve the implementation of preventive measures and maintain the trend of reducing TB morbidity in the city.
