The Impact of Digital Economy on Household Consumption in Western China

The rapid development of the digital economy changes people's lifestyles and consumption habits, and the wide application of digital technology provides residents with more convenient and personalized consumption choices. This paper selects the development data of the digital economy in western China from 2017 to 2022, calculates the comprehensive index of digital economy development level in western China through the entropy weight method, and discusses the characteristics of digital economy development in western China. Then, it constructs an econometric model and conducts a benchmark regression model to analyze the impact of digital economy development on residents' consumption level in western China.
