A Study on the Structural Stability of Reinforced Concrete Slabs Using Topology Optimization
In this study, the stability of reinforced concrete structures has become a critical concern due to the increasing frequency of heavy rainfall and rising annual precipitation associated with global warming. Water infiltration into concrete can cause rebar corrosion, thereby compromising durability. To address this issue, water-blocking blocks were installed at the ends of road decks, and bending tests along with finite element analysis were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of these measures in preventing rebar corrosion and enhancing structural stability.
