ANALYTICAL METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF FIMASARTAN POTASSIUM TRIHYDRATE AND CILNIDIPINE IN SYNTHETIC MIXTURE BY HPLC METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF HYPERTENSION
This study aimed to develop and validate an analytical method for the simultaneousestimation of Fimasartan Potassium Trihydrate and Cilnidipine in a synthetic mixture usingthe HPLC method for the treatment of hypertension. A specific, accurate, precise, robust, andcost-effective HPLC method was developed and validated for the quantitative analysis ofFimasartan Potassium Trihydrate and Cilnidipine in a fixed-dose combination. The isocraticelution was performed using a Kromasil C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm ID, 5 μm) at 40°C.The mobile phase consisted of Methanol: 0.1% OPA in water (80:20% v/v) at a flow rate of1.0 mL/min. The injection volume was 20 μL, and UV detection was carried out at 223 nmwith a total run time of 12 minutes. Fimasartan Potassium Trihydrate and Cilnidipine wereeluted at retention times of 3.57 min and 7.99 min, respectively.
