Effective sensing of environmental pollutants: Hydrogen sulphide and Methylene blue by using gold nanoparticles
An inexpensive and environment friendly protocol has acquired via single step reaction of gold nanoparticle (Au NPs) developed using NCMH as stabilizing and capping agent with near the first (CMC) value found to be 3.2 mM underneath the ambient sunlight. The surface morphology was analysed via sophisticated TEM instrumentation reveals the fabricated Au NPs having a monotonic dispersed round like shape with average radius of 8.8 ± 0.5 nm. The synthesis of colloidal gold nanoparticles was employed as an active sensing of Hydrogen sulphide with a limit of detection 1.1 nM. A highly effective catalytic degradation of Methylene blue through NCMH encapsulated Au NPs as an effective catalyst displays an effective degradation efficiency of 95.76 % within the period of 20 min. Hence, it possesses an active catalyst for the degradation of Methylene blue as well as effective sensor for H 2 S, it can be useful for the advantages of brilliant catalytic activity, high stability, cost effective sensitive tool in practical applications.
