Optimal control analysis based on SEIR-V model
Abstract The development of effective epidemic control strategies to minimize economic losses has become an urgent need after the global economy suffers from the impacts caused by infectious disease pandemics. In this study, the SEIR-V model was designed based on the SEIR model with the introduction of vaccination and medication control variables, in order to explore how to reduce the spread of epidemics while minimizing the socio-economic costs. In this paper, the effectiveness of the control strategy is verified by numerical simulation using Pontryagin’s principle of great value, and the results show that the number of infected people can be significantly reduced and the cost of the epidemic can be controlled by appropriately adjusting the vaccination rate and the coverage of drug treatment.
