The lifespan of solutions for damped semilinear hyperbolic equation with logarithmic nonlinearity
Abstract This paper deals with the hyperbolic equation with strong damping, weak damping, and logarithmic nonlinearity. We prove a finite time blow-up result for high initial energy and the upper bounds of the blow-up time are obtained by using improved Levine’s concavity method. Furthermore, a control function with a small dissipative term is defined to obtain lower bounds of the blow-up time.
