Natural convection characteristics of closed cavity in airflow inclination sensor

Abstract The basic equations of natural convection in a closed cavity are introduced and the characteristic numbers of natural convection are calculated. The results show that the convective problem of the cavity belongs to the small Reynolds number problem. The viscous force plays a major role. The thickness of the temperature boundary layer and the flow boundary layer in the closed cavity is approximately equal. The method of improving the stability of the sensor is proposed by the discussion of the Grashof number. The convective heat transfer in a closed cavity is equivalent to the thermal transfer of the cavity.
