Optimized thermal power prediction model for Heliostat fields accounting for meteorological conditions
Abstract A specific computational model and procedure for the output thermal power of a Heliostat field under Stochastic weather patterns are proposed for a conical light scenario characterized by non-uniform radiation. To lessen the associated processing complexity, a radial staggered layout is implemented in the meantime. Numerical experiments show the best scheduling plan with probabilistic weather occurrences and demonstrate the output thermal power unit area of the Heliostat under random to clear weather conditions. This research contributes to the practical prediction of thermal power output fluctuations in Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) systems under uncertain weather circumstances. Its findings have the potential to facilitate the real-time control of ancillary equipment, thereby ensuring the stability and efficiency of heat collection capabilities.
