Retraction notice to “Performance evaluation of high-strength concrete reinforced with basalt fibers exposed to elevated temperatures” [J. Build. Eng. 35 (2021) 102108

This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal ( https://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy ). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editors-in-Chief. Following multiple whistle-blower complaints, an investigation revealed extensive reuse of SEM and sample images in a series of papers. In each paper, the same images were reported for different materials. Specifically, Figs. 4 and 12 in this paper reportedly show surface images and SEM images, respectively, of high-strength concrete with and without basalt fibres at 300 °C and 600 °C. The same images are reported for PPE fibre reinforced prepacked aggregate concrete at 200 °C and 600 °C in https://doi.org/10.1016/j.conbuildmat.2020.120418 (retracted) and for waste fibre-reinforced POFA concrete at 600 °C in https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2016.12.168 (retracted). The same images also appear in https://doi.org/10.1007/s13369-017-2681-1 . The corresponding author denies the duplication.
