Improved upper bound for the minimal eigenvalue of the fan product

Abstract This note aims to present an improved upper bound for the minimal eigenvalue of the Fan product involving M -matrices employing the non-diagonal elements of two M -matrices and the Fan product trace. Two numerical tests are considered further to verify the effectiveness of the new upper bound.
