Abstract

A modern individual, having acquired a new form of identity – electronic nomadism, positions himself on social networks, which actualizes the analysis of this problem. The object of the study is an electronic nomad, viewed through the prism of photographs posted by him on social pages. The phenomenological meth od, based on the ideas of E. Fromm, makes it possible to identify in these photographs elements of destructive ness that are not noticed or realized by the electronic nomad. In social networks, in addition to the way of communication and information exchange, photography has other features. The nomad in photography con structs his image, giving it aesthetic and theatrical features, thereby replacing reality with the desired oppor tunity. Numerous photo processing trends play a special role in this. By replicating photos on social networks, the nomad admires himself and literally turns into an advertised product. In social media, a nomad simultane ously plays the role of an observer and an observed object. Being addicted to gadgets and showing (often hid den) the domineering nature of his own nature, the nomad wants to both see and be visible. But his need for power is a manifestation of vital impotence, because instead of real interaction with others, the nomad prefers admiring his own body/face in a photograph. A modern nomad, turning himself into a media object and posting a huge number of photos on social networks, begins to live in an alienated format. The search for new perspec tives corresponding to fashion trends makes a nomad a rushing and decentered nature. The above indicates the presence of destructive elements in photography and a crisis in the life of a nomad. The problem requires fur ther analysis in order to reflect more deeply on the situation and correct it.
