The article examines the causes and prevention methods for the withdrawal of irrigated arable lands in the Nishan district of the Kashkadarya region from agricultural use. The digitization of these lands, classification of lands subject to withdrawal from agricultural use, and the development of an agronomic action plan are discussed. Additionally, the article addresses the intensification of erosion, drought, salinization, the impact of groundwater on agriculture, and disruptions in the reclamation status of lands. Recommendations and proposals for the effective use of land through the classification of unused agricultural lands are provided. An analysis of the dynamics of changes in irrigated arable lands in the districts of the Kashkadarya region from 1992 to 2024 is conducted, and forecast indicators for measures to be implemented to enhance the efficiency of agricultural land use in the region from 2020 to 2030 are presented.
