Effect of Work-Life Balance(WLB) of Beauty service industry Workers on Job Satisfaction by Mediating Organizational Culture

This study conducted a survey targeting workers in the beauty service industry in the Daejeon and Chungnam areas, analyzing how their work-life balance(WLB) affects job satisfaction through the mediation of organizational culture. Through this, practical measures to enhance job satisfaction for beauty service industry workers are proposed, aiming to prevent turnover and strengthen the industry’s competitiveness. To this end, a total of 260 questionnaires were distributed over a 15-day period from November 1, 2024, to November 16, 2024, and 258 responses, excluding 2 invalid ones, were used for final analysis. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS WIN 26.0 program, with frequency analysis and Cronbach’s alpha (α) analysis performed to verify the demographic characteristics and the reliability of the measurement tools. Additionally, multiple regression analysis was conducted to verify the impact of WLB on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of organizational culture. The results of the study are as follows: First, the hypothesis that WLB has a positive (+)effect on job satisfaction was accepted with a β=0.254. Second, the hypothesis that WLB affects organizational culture was accepted with a β=0.538, showing a strong positive (+)effect. Third, the hypothesis that organizational culture affects job satisfaction was also accepted with a β=0.581, indicating a strong positive (+)effect. Fourth, the hypothesis that WLB influences job satisfaction through organizational culture was also adopted. Specifically, as WLB passes through organizational culture, the β decreased from 0.308 to 0.271, indicating that WLB is adjusted through organizational culture.
