BEHAVIOR OF AXIAL ELECTRON DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION DEPENDING ON THE DIMENSION OF THE PENNING CELL WITH METAL HYDRIDE CATHODES
The behavior of axial electron distribution function is experimentally studied at different anode radius in the hydrogen plasma of Penning discharge in case of single or double metal hydride cathodes using. A significant decrease in axial electron energy was discovered at a larger anode radius and at the double metal hydride cathodes using. The influence of changes in the energy of oscillating electrons on the efficiency of negative ions formation has been considered.
